BEATFOR49 - The Phônz

The Phonz were Larry Grisham (Bass, Vocals), Tommy Stilwell (Guitar), Michael Broshears (Guitar) and Kem Vogelsang (Drums), a band from Indiana. After two records, Larry Grisham formed The Purples and then goes to play for The Beat Daddys, a blues and southern rock band still in active. Michael Broshears also played for The Vains in California.

Released “No Line For You” in 1979, a good powerpop single according to Pierre from bubblegum.the.punk.free.fr, and a 10” in a 12” jacket sleeve in 1981 titled The Phônz, including a cover of the one of the greatest hits of the early '60s, Runaway, the Del Shannon’s debut single.
